Its that time of year again gang. Yup good ol cold and flu season. What I have always found strange is that how only for a few months out of the year, people take action to protect themselves and loved ones from potential harm. When in reality it should be a daily practice to strive to reach optimal wellness with the information and resources that are available to you.
And the good thing is that there are plenty of resources (at no cost--you are reading that now) and resources that are affordable to include in your routine that are effective, safe and available in almost every corner of your community. One thing I keep going back to is the fact that on a cellular level, every genus, species and sub-species require certain chemical reactions for biology. And how those chemical reactions occur depend on many things. Biology is beautiful thing to follow if you look closely at the intricacies of it. I think that when you read how chemicals found in botanicals and minerals create an environment of healing or protection in either roundworms or a group of volunteers involved in a longitudinal study, you will see patterns that keep repeating themselves. Scoff, laugh, marginalize or laugh if you want. But again, no matter the opinion==it will not change how naturally occurring compounds show their strength.
Here is an example of what I am referring to---check it out---

There are many keywords in that paper---
" Zinc supplementation may eliminate many of the effects of zinc deficiency on immune cells."
"Zinc supplementation enhanced TGF-β-induced Smad 2/3 signaling and dampened IRF-1 activity [47]. Zinc deficiency resulted in increased NF-κB expression in the lungs, leading to up-regulation of target genes, including ICAM-1, TNFα, and IL-1β [48]. In addition, it seems that zinc deficiency can lead to enhanced production of pro-inflammatory cytokine (TNFα, IL-6, CXC L1), enhanced migration of neutrophils, and increased production of CXC L1 and IL-23 by macrophages, possibly through NF-κB activation [49]"
"Zinc is one of the essential micronutrients and is very important in the immune system."
"Zinc may reduce RSV burden in the lungs. Zinc can be effective in reducing the duration of viral pneumonia symptoms. Zinc may enhance the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine in reducing mortality rate in COVID-19 patients."
This was a fairly recent paper that was published in 2022. But the thing I want to focus on is that, Zinc was not on a timeline deciding when and where it would work best. Zinc did not have a schedule to adhere to. It has ALWAYS been as effective as they pointed out in the paper against infections. And this is just one mineral that was being studied. Zinc also has many other benefits that as contemporary Bro-science has been so kind to point out.
Here is some more enjoyable reading on that subject---

That is just a synopsis of many studies showing Zinc's effectiveness at keeping a powerful hormone at optimal levels.
Another important and non-negotiable hormone/nutrient is Vitamin D3. I think its quite understandable that most people know the importance of D3. But there are many people who are not fully aware of how to obtain its benefits correctly. D3 is actually a hormone but has been classified as a vitamin due to it importance in almost every area of health. Here is a fact that most people have not learned in health class in school--Every cell in the body has a receptor for D3. One would think that if every cell has a receptor for one compound, its a pretty damn important one.
Here is another link showing the importance of D3 and its role against viruses that are of concern---

More keywords and takeaways from that paper--
"The past 100 years of research has shown one promising function of Vitamin D, which is modulating immune functions, mediated by monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, T cells, and B cells.[7] In modern cell biology, Vitamin D in association with Vitamin A and oxidized lipids of omega-3 and 6 acts as an important signaling factor named as “superfamily of transacting transcriptional regulatory factors.”[8] Vitamin D is regulating >200 genes, including genes associated with cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis.[9] It is observed that Vitamin D is active in a vast number of immune functions, related to cytokines, T cell, T helper cells, interleukin (IL)-1, -2, -4, -5, -10, -12, -17, interferon-β (IFN-β), CD14, etc.[9] Therefore, Vitamin D emerges to be an important immunomodulator, playing a crucial role in regulating chemokin production and inflammation"
"As an antiviral agent, Vitamin D may constitute an inexpensive prophylactic option either by itself or as a synergistic agent during the treatment of different viral infections.[37] The world is facing serious COVID-19 pandemic, and millions of people from all over the world are getting affected with high mortality rates. "
Some other things that should raise red flags are the fact that where was this info during the "shutdown"? Why weren't you given this info during that time from the professionals that were supposed to be looking out for your wellbeing??? We could editorialize all day long about why, who , what etc.But again that does not change anything as far as how D3 works. D3 has no shareholders to answer to. It has no corporate policy to adhere to. All it does it what it is supposed to do. No questions asked. What is quite amazing and awesome is how nature intended us to use something like D3. It literally is built into our biology. And how our biology interacts with, well the universe. Because we have receptors in our skin that transfers sun light exposure into a hormone known as 25-hydroxyvitamin D. Then that is transferred in what can be classified as vitamin D3. I mean I think that is quite impressive and amazing. Name me any compound from big pharma that can do something that awesome. Doubt you can.
The bottom line here is that there in intelligence and objectivity in nature and biology. As a collective we should not be so arrogant and condescending to our roots. I also think we should stop trying to complicate everything through over-research and over-funding and creating an echo chamber of confusion for every one. Keep it simple silly is a great saying we should have all of these institutions of research and science have as their mission statement.
I do have good news though. Yana Tech offers an amazing product that has these two ingredients and more that can help protect you during this cold and flu season. And can protect you all year for that matter! Our immune formula, Defense-4 has 50 mg of Zinc and 5,000 IUs of D3 plus Vitamin C and Quercetin to give you a synergistically perfect blend of protection and immune support!!!
Namaste!
